Karen Matthews, who faked the kidnapping of her nine-year-old daughter, has been accused of selling food donated to people living on the street.
The 43-year-old regularly visits a Pret A Manger store and is given unsold sandwiches on the understanding she takes them to a soup kitchen.
But after loading the food into bags and a trolley it is claimed she sells what she can to the homeless and puts the rest in her fridge, the Sunday Mirror reported.

Matthews was jailed for eight years for convicted of kidnapping, false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice
Friend said Matthews sells the beggars food because she thinks they were ‘wrong ‘uns’.
‘Karen is shameless – she just doesn’t see that it’s wrong,’ a source told the paper.
‘She says the staff at Pret let her pick up the unsold stock at the end of their shifts on the understanding she takes it to charity. But she has seen a way of lining her pockets.
‘It’s all part of the way she lives her life. Even though she has been in prison she still sees herself as above the homeless people she is scamming because she has a nice flat, a plasma screen TV and a much better existence than them.’
Matthews does not like the food but keeps in the fridge of her state-funded flat because it made her look ‘posh’, the source said.
Matthews even boasted about sending pictures of the snacks to friends.
The Sunday Mirror said it witnessed her entering Pret after closing time on two occasions, later leaving with a loaded trolley and full carrier bags.
Matthews has also hosted odd at her two-bed home where she and friends watched television programmes about Shannon’s kidnap in Dewsbury, West Yorks.

One friend said: ‘She is obsessed with seeing herself on TV and seems to like the fact people are interested.
‘But apparently she became agitated over the reconstructed scene where she admitted involvement in the kidnap. She said she had nothing to do with it and was forced to take the blame.’
Matthews rushed to hospital
Obese Karen Matthews has been warned to end her unhealthy diet of sweets and cigarettes over heart attack fears. Sharon Matthews’ mother was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with gallstone problems after collapsing. A source told The Sun: ‘She was struggling to breathe so docs calmed her. ‘They said the condition could cause organ failure if she didn’t change her lifestyle. ‘She admitted to a bad diet, with processed food and a lot of sweets. She loves Dolly mix, wine gums and Milky Bars.’
Pret A Manger set up the Pret Foundation Trust to ease homelessness but the store manager said he was unaware of the money-making scheme.
Matthews refused to comment on whether she had sold the donated goods on for profit and said of Pret: ‘I don’t get them from there.’
Shannon became the focus of a major police search operation and was eventually found in a house which belonged to Michael Donovan, the uncle of Craig Meehan, who was Matthews’ boyfriend
She was discovered less than a month after going missing in 2008.
Both Donovan and Matthews were convicted of kidnapping, false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice. They were both jailed for eight years.
