Jamie Foxx is not forcing Katie Holmes to sign a prenup, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct this phony premise. We’re told talk of a marriage contract is 100 percent untrue.

According to the Globe, Holmes is “hot to trot down the aisle,” but Foxx has told her “no dice” unless she signs a prenuptial agreement. A so-called “tattler” tells the supermarket tabloid, “Jamie’s worth more than $100 million, while Katie’s got just a quarter of that.” “She doesn’t want to complicate their romance with a prenup, but he’s insisting on it,” maintains the magazine’s unnamed, untraceable and possibly made-up “source.”

However, alleges the outlet’s “snitch,” Holmes is “willing to compromise, but not if it means signing away her rights to any of their shared earning during their marriage.” The alleged insider further contends that the actress has “waited to marry him for so long, but “now, right when they’re talking wedding details, [Foxx] told her he won’t get married without” a prenup.

The article then veers from being wrong to ridiculous when it alleges, “Katie’s wondering if the prenup is a ploy to get out of marriage.” It even has its unidentifiable “source” assert, “She feels he’s already planning the divorce before they’re even hitched.” Even by the tabloid’s standards, that doesn’t make sense. Why would Foxx, who ostensibly is trying to protect his money, go through the expense of a wedding if he was “already planning the divorce”?

While the last part of the story is illogical, the entire article is actually untrue. Foxx and Holmes are not planning a wedding, and therefore he’s not forcing a prenup on her. As opposed to the magazine’s anonymous and possibly fabricated “source,” a rep for the actress tells Gossip Cop on the record that there’s “no truth” to the publication’s premise.

The Globe is hardly a reliable source when it comes to reporting about the casual couple. Back in May, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid when it falsely claimed Foxx and Holmes were getting married over the summer. Of course, summer has passed and, as we rightly reported, there were no nuptials.

Since that provably false article, the tabloid has published a slew of other verifiably phony tales, including one about the actress supposedly getting dumped at the altar and how Holmes was losing weight to keep Foxx interested. Suffice to say, the magazine’s “tattler” and “snitches” seemingly have no inside information at all about Foxx and Holmes. Interestingly, the outlet’s sister publication, Star, wrongly maintained earlier in the year that is was Holmes who wanted a prenup, and how it caused “tension” with Foxx. Either way, her rep assures Gossip Cop there’s no wedding being planned and no need for a prenup.
