DailyMailTV’s Jesse Palmer was among the stars who took part in the 45th Annual Daytime Emmys held Sunday in Pasadena, California.

The former pro-athlete turned reality star and TV personality took to the stage with actress and Food Network host Valerie Bertinelli to present one of the top awards of the night.

DailyMailTV was also among the nominees, with the show nominated for Outstanding Entertainment News Program for its freshman season.

The show has grown by double digits since its opener on September 18 – which had the highest rated national debut of any syndicated news-magazine since 2007. 

By December 17 it had averaged more than 1.6 million daily viewers.

In January, DailyMail.com and Stage 29 Productions announced that DailyMailTV has been renewed for a second season in the fall.

Days Of Our lives was named Outstanding Drama Series at the event that recognizes the the best in daytime television.

Its star James Reynolds won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

Reynolds, 71, told the audience: ‘The walk from my seat to the stage took just a few seconds but in fact it took 37 years.’

He joined the daytime soap in 1981 and stars as Abe Carver.

The Talk picked up the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment.

Show creator and co-host Sara Gilbert accepted the trophy and spoke about how surprised and grateful she was to win. 

She was joined on stage by her co-hosts Eve, Julie Chen and Sheryl Underwood although Sharon Osbourne was unable to attend the ceremony.

The Dr. Oz Show beat off the competition to take the Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative.

The doctor and TV personality told the audience he had traveled back from Europe especially to attend the awards show. 

It’s the fifth time the series has won in the category since it premiered in 2009.

Extra’s Mario Lopez and The Talk’s Sheryl Underwood served as hosts for the awards show that was streamed live on the Internet.

The first award of the night was presented to the winner of the Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series – Chloe Lanier from General Hospital. 

The 25-year-old actress leaped out of her seat and made her way to the stage to collect her trophy.

Accepting the award, the excited starlet thanked her boyfriend for persuading her to take the role on the landmark series.

Rome Flynn, 26, won Outstanding Younger Actor  in a Drama Series for his role on The Bold & The Beautiful.

‘I couldn’t be happier than where I am right now,’ he said, holding on tight to his Emmy. ‘This is what dreams are made of right here. Thank you.’

There was a M.A.S.H. reunion when Loretta Swit and Jamie Farr appeared on stage together to introduce a tribute to Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

Swit, 80, won two Primtime Emmys for her starring role as Major Margaret ‘Hot Lips’ Houlihan in the long-running TV comedy.

Farr, 83, played the cross-dressing corporal Maxwell Q. Klinger who was trying throughout the show to get a Section 8 discharge so he could return home to Toledo, Ohio.

The two noted that it is 45 years since M.A.S.H. first aired and it ran for 11 seasons from 1972 to 1983.

Wayne Brady won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show Host for Let’s Make A Deal.

Meanwhile, the award for Outstanding Game Show went to The Price Is Right with executive producer Mike Richards accepting the trophy.

Right at the start, host Lopez commented that the show, which is not being televised but is available to watch live online, would not be political.

That’s unlike other Hollywood award shows where hosts crack jokes in between the award presentations.

Gloria Allred took the stage to present the Emmy for Best Legal/Courtroom Program and diverted from script to shout out ‘Bill Cosby. Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!’ while holding up a placard that said the same.

The stunt prompted some in the auditorium to boo loudly.

Allred represents several of Cosby’s sexual assault accusers.

She then went on to announce the category winner, which was Judge Mathis. 

It’s the first Emmy win for the courtroom show and creator Greg Mathis accepted the award on behalf of his team.

‘The show is in its 20th year and we are the longest running African American male show in history, probably because we have the most diverse staff in all of television,’ Mathis said in his acceptance speech.
