5 Wrong Rumors About Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s relationship is one of the most popular subjects among the tabloids. Gossip Cop continuously debunks phony stories about the couple. Here are five recent wrong rumors about the pair.
In late August, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style for falsely claiming that Stefani was marrying her boyfriend and also expecting his baby. It was further stated that the couple “spent up to $420,000 on fertility treatments” and planned to make the baby announcement at their so-called “wedding.” Naturally, no timeline was given as to when and where the ceremony might take place. Around the same time it was published, Stefani was photographed walking to church with her two sons, and she certainly had no signs of a baby bump. Meanwhile, Shelton recently said that while he thinks about marrying Stefani, it won’t be “anytime soon or anything.”
Earlier in August, Star published a phony cover story claiming that Stefani and Shelton secretly tied the knot at his Oklahoma ranch back in March. The article featured several made-up details about the nonexistent nuptials, including what she wore and who was invited. The story, however, amounted to pure fan fiction. Shelton’s comments about not getting married “anytime soon” were made in April, one month after the supposed wedding was said to have taken place. Here’s what did happen in March: “Entertainment Tonight” reported that Stefani and Shelton were “not ready to get married.”
Gossip Cop called out Star in July for falsely claiming that Shelton was “jealous” of his girlfriend’s Las Vegas residency and it was causing problems in their relationship. What the magazine didn’t mention is that Shelton had sent Stefani flowers to celebrate the opening night of her residency. Shelton also tweeted about the show several times, even joking that he was a “stalker” because he kept attending.
In June, Gossip Cop busted OK! for wrongly reporting that the couple’s wedding was “just weeks away.” According to the outlet, Stefani and Shelton became inspired to get married after attending his friend’s nuptials in Fort Worth, Texas. Well, it’s been several weeks since their wedding was “weeks away” and it still hasn’t taken place. As is the case with many tabloid stories, the passage of time has proven it false.
And finally, Gossip Cop corrected OK! in early June after the magazine wrongly contended that Stefani was “quitting music” when her Las Vegas residency ends so she can settle down with Shelton. The misleading story was derived from an interview in which Stefani said she was “at the end of my journey of being a musician.” The singer, however, never actually said she was retiring and certainly didn’t say she was “quitting” for her boyfriend. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with Stefani’s rep, who told us on the record that she’s not planning to leave the music industry for Shelton.
